kristagetsfit:Took advantage of the beautiful weather today and ran a 10k!! When I started my run I was only hoping to go about 4 miles, but after I hit that I decided to go for 5. Then after I hit 5 I thought what the hell, let’s just do a 10k! This was the furthest I’ve ran in about 3 months and it felt great! Well actually it felt like hell, but in a good way I guess? Ruer’s logic lol. My final time was 1:09:58, which is 10 minutes longer than my PR but it’s all good! I just have to work on getting my endurance back. I did have a few issues during my run. My biggest concern is my knee. For the past week I’ve noticed some stiffness/soreness right above my left kneecap. I’ve been icing it after my workouts, and it seems to be getting better, but there was still some soreness during my run today which kind of worries me. I’m definitely going to keep a close watch on it. Also, I’ve noticed that I’ve had really bad indigestion/heartburn during my last few runs. It doesn’t matter how long I wait after eating before I run it still seems to happen. Goa experiment and do some research to see how I can prevent this next time. Those were my 2 biggest issues. My endurance is definitely not where I want it to be, but I know that will improve the more I continue to run so it’s not a huge deal. So yeah, that was how I spent my afternoon. Hope everyone else had a great day as well!
